This Carolina Skiff was acid washed to remove months of fowling and tannins after sitting in brackish water near Estero Bay. The next step is going to be a full compound and wax to bring its reflection back. The skiff is one of the research vessels used by FGCU’s field station to access shallow areas of Estero Bay for oyster and sea grass monitoring and I’m very lucky to be one of the captains.
