The Durrance family settled in Florida in the MID 1840's to start a community that is now the city of Bunnell, FL. During the Great Depression my great grandparents moved from Bunnell, FL to New Smyrna Beach, FL to start a restaurant on the HIstoric Canal St. My father was born in NSB and besides his time serving as a diesel mechanic for the US Navy has lived here his whole life. My Mom and her family moved from Detroit to NSB in the late 1960's after my grandfather retired from the Chrysler-Dilamar organization as the head of international affairs. After my Mom graduated from NSB HIgh School she started her career as a real estate title underwriter with a small firm on Canal St. During this time my father had completed his service time with the US Navy and was working as a land surveyor on Canal St. They ended up meeting on the same street that my great grandfather started his restaurant thirty years prior.

Ryshel also was born and raised in NSB. Her parents met at Florida State University and later enjoyed careers as fine artists. Ryshel and I met in a PE class for team sports at NSBHS and later became good friends through our love for riding waves and jogging on the beach. We have been together since high school and we are now married with 3 wonderful children. Between graduating high school and starting Steve's Super CLean LLC I worked for the USPS at the Edgewater, FL and NSB, FL offices as a distribution clerk, retail sales associate, and city letter carrier. It was definitely a great day when I first delivered on Canal St. because of my family history there.

One of my best achievements in life was earning my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida. I completed the degree while working at the USPS, having 3 young children, and remodeling a foreclosed home for my family. My family now lives happily in the remodeled home in the NSB area. The eastern part of central Florida is very important to Ryshel and I, from seeing historic space launches at Cape Canaveral to all the spectator race cars at Daytona International Speedway, and we are excited to help all the residents enjoy their homes more in this very special place.
