Let’s talk steel wool, bc they aren’t all made the same! From left to right, we have #0000, #1, and #3
#0000, Super Fine
Safe for:
• Glass shower doors
• Hard water stains on faucets
• Stainless steel sinks & appliances
• Ceramic cooktops
• Removing soap scum and mineral deposits
#1, Medium
Good for:
• Rust on tools
• Grime on oven racks
• Grout line scrubbing (but test FIRST)
• Tough stuck-on food in ovens and grills
Be cautious on softer metals and anything painted.
#3, Coarse
Used for:
• Removing baked-on carbon in ovens
• Scrubbing off adhesive, paint, or sealants
• Heavy rust and corrosion
Not safe for:
• Glass
• Stainless steel
• Coated surfaces
• Anything shiny you want to stay shiny
How to use them safely:
• Test in a hidden spot first. Always.
• Don’t use steel wool on stone or plastic.
• More 0’s = softer, higher number = more coarse
• Keep wet, use light pressure
• Dispose after use, it will rust up
• When in doubt, use #0000 😂
