Have you seen this pink discoloration in your bathrooms? It normally grows in the shower, in the toilet bowl, around sink drains, basically anywhere that has constant moisture/water sitting. It’s called pink mold or Serratia marcescens. Despite it being called mold it’s a bacteria that grows fast, it feeds on soap scum primarily. While the bacteria is normally harmless for healthy people, people that have weakened immune systems can get respiratory illnesses and urinary tract infections from contact with this bacteria.

The best way to kill and stop this from growing is to regularly clean your shower and if you have a shower curtain you can throw it in the wash with some bleach if you don’t feel like buying another shower curtain. If your shower has a lot of build up after throughly cleaning, for a maintenance spray, I recommend making a diy shower cleaner mixing 3% hydrogen peroxide and dawn 1/2 cup of both in a spray bottle and before you get out the shower just spray the walls evenly. Or you could do 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol, 1 tablespoon of dishwasher rinse aid, and 2 cups of water for an easy disinfecting shower cleaner that takes no time at all and your shower won’t need a deep clean scrub for a longer period 🤗🧼🫧🧼🫧

I love toilet seats that you can just slide off, it makes cleaning such a breeze 🫧 and a pro tip is to buy a toilet brush that gets completely under the rim most toilet brushes do not 🧼🫧🧹
