Tonight I’m feeling equal parts grateful and absolutely exhausted. 😂💕

There is something so different about earning money for yourself. Owning a small business has taught me way more than how to clean a house well. It’s taught me how to put a value on my time, how to set boundaries (still learning that one 😝), how to deal with difficult situations and people professionally, and most importantly, how much I’m actually capable of.

Some days are LONG. Today was one of them. But there’s a different kind of satisfaction in being tired because I booked those clients. I built that schedule. I showed up. I did the work.

My income isn’t determined by someone deciding what my time is worth or how many hours they’re willing to give me. I get to decide how hard I want to push, when I need to slow down, and what kind of business I want East Twin Linen & Cleaning to become. At this point, my biggest limitation might literally be the number of hours in a day. 😂

But one of the things I’m most grateful for has nothing to do with cleaning.

It’s the people who recommend my name when I’m not even in the room.

The clients who tell their friends about me. The people who tag my business when someone asks for a cleaner. The people who trust me inside their homes and businesses and then trust me enough to send someone they care about my way.

You have no idea what that means to a small business owner. Every recommendation, share, kind word and repeat booking has helped me build something that belongs to me and my family.

I’m tired tonight. Like, really tired. 😂 But it’s the kind of tired I’m incredibly thankful for.

Thank you for keeping me busy. Thank you for trusting me. And especially, thank you to the people who speak highly of me when I’m not there to hear it. That might be the biggest compliment of all. 🤘🏻💕

Not every cleaning job is glamorous… but every customer deserves to feel good walking into their home. 💚

Today’s mission included cat messes, a basement that needed some love, an oven that had definitely seen better days, and plenty of scrubbing.

By the time I packed up, the basement was fresh, the kitchen was cleaned top to bottom, and the oven was ready for its next family dinner.

Being a small business owner means some days you’re cleaning beautiful homes… and some days you’re cleaning the jobs nobody else wants. Either way, I show up and give it everything I’ve got.

Some weeks are exhausting… but they’re also the weeks that remind me why I took the leap.

When I started East Twin Linen & Cleaning, I hoped to build something that people could trust. Lately, my schedule has been filling up with wonderful residential clients and new commercial accounts, and I’m so grateful for every opportunity.

This week has definitely put my vacuum, steam mop, and me to work. 😅 My hands and feet are feeling it, but seeing happy clients and sparkling spaces makes every sore muscle worth it.

✨ It’s the little details that make all the difference.

Today I had the privilege of cleaning the coffee and refreshment room at one of my commercial clients. It’s a quiet space where people gather, share stories, and find comfort during difficult times.

Every detail matters—from polishing the stainless steel sink to removing and cleaning the drain strainer and sanitizing every surface. A clean space can bring a small sense of comfort when it’s needed most.

🌲✨ Another beautiful home checked off the list!

This log home was definitely one of the more unique homes I’ve had the pleasure of cleaning. Between the reclaimed wood floors, gorgeous log walls, and all the little details, it took a lot of care to make sure everything was cleaned the right way while protecting the home’s character.

The first deep clean was definitely the biggest job, but now that we’ve gotten it to a great baseline, maintaining it is so much easier!

One of the best parts of this business is getting to meet such kind and appreciative people. My client was so happy with the results that she surprised me with an extra tip, and moments like that remind me why I love what I do. (Someday I will remember before photos, I get in the building and immediately get to work and forget 😂)
