Making a Small Kitchen More Functional - Part 1 🧑🏻‍🍳👩🏻‍🍳

My client and I’s favorite drawer! 🌶️
She and her partner were looking for more functionality in their tight apartment, and I was so excited to help!

When I looked in the cabinet, I saw that the spices were being used regularly—but they were hard to get to. I wanted to make things easier, so I cleared out a drawer by the stove and faced the labels upward for quick access!

I’ll be sharing how I transformed their kitchen one drawer or cabinet at a time. 🌞

My sister has had storage under her stairs for awhile—out of sight, out of mind. Over time, it just became a forgotten space filled with stuff she rarely touched.

I decided to step in to help her refocus. Instead of a cluttered stash, we turned it into a functional little room where she can easily grab what she needs from bins without digging through unknown piles.

We all have that one spot where things pile up—under the bed, in a spare closet, tucked away in a forgotten corner. This is your sign to reclaim it. You deserve a space that works for you!

After Bathroom Transformation✨ > Before

Here’s a realistic bathroom transformation…

🧼 Warm up the space - The bathroom had cool tones, so I introduced warmer tones to make it cozier. I added a wooden shelf, a wicker basket, swapped the towels, and changed a gray bath mat to beige.

🛁 Add personal touches - We included a photo that reflects the person’s style, candles she loves, and a bath caddy (not pictured) for a more spa-like feel. A faux plant added a pop of color, too.

🫧 Organizing storage cabinet - Items were categorized and prioritized from top to bottom, making everything easy to find and reach when needed.

🧻 If you’re using bins, label them so you know exactly what goes where. If not, make sure your product labels are facing forward so you can quickly read them. This simple step instantly makes your space feel more organized!

You don’t need fancy bins and labels—just group your items together and keep them in sight! Do what works for you 🧽🫧

Some before & afters of our space (in reverse!) ✨

For Valentine’s Day, we didn’t do anything fancy—just tidied up our space, cooked a meal at home, and embraced the comfort of being together. 👩🏻‍❤️‍👨🏻

There’s something special about taking care of the space we share, making it feel lighter, cozier, and more like home. It’s a reminder that love isn’t always about grand gestures—it’s in the little moments, the simple routines, and the gratitude for the life we’re building. We hope that you had a wonderful Valentine’s day. 🥰

We don’t always think much of the entryway—it’s our drop zone. But without decluttering, things like jackets, shoes, and accessories can easily get lost or forgotten. By keeping it clear and intentional, the entryway becomes a place that feels open and welcoming, with everything we need right where we can see it. It’s functional and it also greets us with warmth 🌻
