Hello!
My name is KellyLynn Mulcahy, the owner and founder of . For those who know me, the last four years have been the most endurance building years of my life so far, and the most exciting.
I’ve had the greatest business education. “Life University,” I highly recommend for anyone starting a business from the ground up to give yourself grace and know that you’re learning. Keep your eyes on yourself and don’t get distracted by other companies growth.
We have overcome learning curves, grown in confidence, professionalism, management and excellence. All these growth areas definitely were learned through insecurity, depression, poor business sense, and poor quality work. We have learned through doing.
Background story: I quit my dream company Latitude] in 2018 to grudgingly start a cleaning company. I didn’t want to do it, but I knew I was supposed to obey God. It was also the clearest I’ve ever known God to speak to me.
I left Latitude] the best way I knew how to do, well and with courage.
Right off the bat, God told me it was going to be a move-out cleaning company working with Real Estate Agents and Property Managers in the Twin cities, specializing in move-in/move-out cleaning for small spaces. I started well, learning how to clean well from negative feedback from clients, what worked/didn’t work, losing money, learning how to train and employ people, trial and error. Great teachers.
Since then, I had a mentor who told me after year one of exhaustion and seemingly failure, to give myself three years to learn as much as I could, succeed and fail without pressure. Then, after the end of three years, begin again.
Building off what you’ve learned, what worked well, what didn’t work well. What you love that other companies do well. Begin again.
That’s where we are now, the ending of a three year learning era. The beginning of a new beginning.
We have worked with incredible employees, contractors and clients who have shaped Rise Up Cleaning into what it’s become today, “Your turnover cleaning specialists.”
I am grateful to everyone who encouraged us along the way.
What a ride!
