30 years ago this year Dust n Stuff cleaning services came to life when I applied for my first business license! I had dabbled in 1995 but I whipped out the good ole phone book and started cold calling businesses January 1996. If you knew me in the early 90’s that would not shock you. I gained some great contracts including several new construction contracts with several builders. Becoming self employed was scary but I had faith in my skills and myself. I was able to keep Amanda Young out of daycare for a years which was my goal. I only planned to do this till she enteted school but it made sense to continue. I was able to take her to school and pick her up, attend school functions and such. I could make my own schedule it was great. Here we are 30 years later. Now I have flexibility to help with my granddaughter.
In 30 years I have never advertised…. Always word of mouth! Can you believe I have a handful of the same customers that gave me a start 30 years ago. I have met some wonderful people and also some crazy people. It’s definitely been an adventure.
