GREAT OPPORTUNITY!!

In celebration of Earth Day 2021 and National Volunteer Week, Chesterfield County Department of Environmental Engineering and Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation are calling on volunteers and groups for a COVID-friendly trash cleanup in Chesterfield. 🗑️ ♻️ 🌎

Volunteers or groups can participate in self-directed and self-scheduled cleanups anytime during the week of Earth Day, Sunday, April 18 through Saturday, April 24.

Volunteers will meet at one of five designated areas to pick up litter:

• Falling Creek Ironworks Park
• Historic Point of Rocks
• Dutch Gap Conservation Area
• River City Sportsplex
• Mid-Lothian Mines

Volunteers are welcome to bring their own supplies, but the Departments of Environmental Engineering and Parks and Recreation will provide supplies like gloves, trash bags, and will provide trash pickup.

To register as an individual or group, contact Environmental Outreach Coordinator Lorne Field at 804-748-1920. The last day to register for a cleanup will be Thursday, April 22.

Cool story from today! The maintenance person for our complex got to talk about all of his years of picking up trash around our community and state! He thinks J & N Trash Bros. is so awesome, he’s donating a couple of his grabbers! He was even in a commercial for littering when he was a little boy! We had to tell you all about it—-
