This is why I do what I do.
This is the home of one of my best friends, Amanda. We were friends for 25 years, since we were 12 years old. She passed away last December, and not a day goes by that I don’t miss her.
Her husband and kids are now clients of mine. And while my business typically stays within the Treasure Valley… I drive 73 miles to Mountain Home for them.
Because of her.
The first time I made that drive, I thought I’d be strong. I wasn’t. I cried the whole way there. And being in her home without her is something I don’t think I’ll ever fully get used to.
But it’s also a gift.
I get to serve her family. I get to be there. I get to love them, support them, and look out for them the way I always will.
And in a way I didn’t expect… I get to experience her again in the details.
Their home was beautifully remodeled after a fire, and every corner of it feels like Amanda. Her style, her personality, her warmth. I find myself noticing the little design choices she made and just smiling. It’s so her.
This work is more than cleaning for me.
It’s showing up for people.
It’s loving people well.
It’s carrying pieces of someone forward when they’re no longer here.
And I will always show up for this family.
Always.
