Ticks are active year-round in Massachusetts, but their activity peaks during specific times:

• Spring to Summer (March–August): This is the primary peak, with the highest risk of tick bites and tick-borne diseases occurring from June through August.
• Fall (October–November): A secondary peak occurs as adult ticks seek hosts before winter.
It’s important to note that tick activity is weather-dependent, and ticks can be active whenever temperatures are above freezing.
