I've always had quite the imagination. Even as a child, I had more imaginary friends, than ones that I attended school with. And as I got older, a few of these "pretend friends" stuck around long enough to watch me stumble, get back up and face plant right back into the dirt again. My life has alway...

Don't wait until Thanksgiving day to think about where to put all those leftovers.
Tips on cleaning out the Refrigerator/ Freezer:
The best time to clean your frigerator/ freezer is right before you grocery shop, because the frigerator is almost empty. You will have much less to deal with than if you undertake this task when you already have the fridge stocked with food.
Turn the appliance off and unplug it.Throw out any old take out cartons, limp vegetables,or old sauces and marinades that have been stored in the door. Do the same thing with the freezer. Do not make the mistake of thinking just because food has been stored in the freezer that it is still good. If food has been in the freezer for more than 2 or 3 months throw it out. Foods can get freezer burn and absorb smells and are generally not too tasty after spending a long period of time in the freezer. Also throw out the boxes of baking soda.Don't forget to make note on your shopping list to replace the boxes of baking soda. You need those to help keep your refrigerator and freezer smelling fresh.
It's a good idea to have a cooler on hand to put the freezer foods in while your cleaning the inside of the freezer. You dont want your freezer foods your keeping to defrost before your finished cleaning. Most freezers no longer need defrosting, but if yours does, plan ahead for this event and purchase some ice for your cooler, because it might take several hours to defrost. Take all the items out of the frige/freezer.
Prepare a sink of dish soap and warm water. You can fill a spray bottle with the same dish soap and warm water or you can use a deodorizing cleaner.I like to use a little baking soda in my spray bottle or a tablespoon of vinegar mixed in to cut odors.
Remove all shelves and drawers. Thoroughly wash the drawers in the sink. Place a large bath towel on the counter and place the washer drawers on top of it to catch any drips from the wet drawers. The small shelves can be cleaned in the same way ,but I like to take the larger shelves outside to be cleaned. It's less messy that way. I thoroughly spray them down let sit for 2 or 3 minutes then wipe them off till clean and dry.
While the drawers and shelves are drying, take a clean dry cloth and wipe out all the loose debris from the inside of the frigerator/freezer.Always start at the top and work your way down. Starting at the top, thoroughly spray down the inside of the frige/freezer. Let sit for 3 to 5 minutes then wipe clean.By waiting a few minutes it allows the cleaning solution to loosen up the stuck on grime. Pay close attention to the bottom of the frigerator underneath where the produce drawers are located, as it tends to accumulate grime. You might need to spray and wipe that area several times before it comes clean. NEVER USE AN ABRASIVE SCRUBBY on your frigerator/freezer it will cause deep scratches. Do the same thing to the doors. Once the frige/freezer is wiped out and dry you can place all the shelves, drawers, and food back inside the appliance the way you like it.
Now your nice clean fresh smelling refrigerator/freezer is ready for thanksgiving leftovers.

Tips on cleaning blinds: Window blinds tend to be ignored until they are really dirty, but if you give them a quick once-over a few times a month, they can resist dirt more easily. Depending on the type of window blinds you have, you can try certain tricks to make cleaning them less of a chore. Keep items like old socks or rags on hand for a quick cleaning session. You can spray each sock lightly with all purpose cleaner or wet them and wring them out until damp. Place one sock covered hand behind the blinds and one sock coverd hand in front, then wipe both sides from top to bottom.
All Blinds: Vacume the blinds with your cleaning wand and brush attachment first. You can remove the blinds and lay them on carpet or a sheet, or you can leave the blinds hanging. ( I prefer to leave them hanging) If you clean your blinds regularly, a duster may be enough to knock the loose dirt from the blinds.
Wipe your blinds down with a fabriic softener sheet to reduce static that may help dust and dirt to adhere to the blinds. Fabric sofener sheets also help to freshen fabric blinds.
Mild soap and water are enough to remove sains from most types of blinds. Be careful not to get fabric or linen blinds too wet;dab at these types of blinds instead of saturating them.

Tips on window cleaning: I know, It's a chore, but it's got to be done sometime and this time of year is the perfect time to go outside and get it done.
You want to wait for a cloudy day to wash your windows. On sunny days you'll fight streaks because the sun dries the cleaning solution before you can shine the glass.
Heres a recipe for a cleaning solution thats very effective.
You'll need:
A bucket,1 gallon warm water,1/2cup ammonia,1cup white vinegar,2 tablespoons cornstarch.
Instuctions: Pour 1gallon warm water into bucket, then add all other ingrients and mix well to disolve cornstarch. You can put this cleaning solution in a spray bottle to be used all around your home. ( I like to use it on some of my nick nacks and all glass in my home.) Use lint free paper towels or news paper for best results.
Before cleaning the glass on your window, clean the windows runners and seal first. You can use a vacume hose or a med.handle bristle brush to brush away the dirt that has built up. ( I like to use the brush it cleans the seal better.) If you choose not to follow this tip you'll end up with a bigger mess than you stared with because that dirt will turn to mud and its harder to clean mud than it is to clean dirt. Plus over time the window runners get clogged with dirt, grime ,and cleaning solution residue, that can cause the windows to stick and not run smoothly in their tracks.
Last tip, If your windows are sticking and don't want to slide up and down smoothly try rubbing a candle or block of paraffin wax along the tracks of double-hung windows to make them slide more easily.

How to clean a LCD computer screen: You will need 2 microfiber cleaning cloths.( Cloths for the specific purpose for cleaning LCD monitors can be purchased at all computer stores)
Rubbing alcohol
Instructions: 1) Power down your computer or disconect the monitor. If the LCD you are cleaning is a television or laptop computer monitor, disconect it from all power sources, including removing the battery from your laptop computer.Trying to clean,or put anything wet on a LCD monitor while there is power going to the screen can cause problems in the form of dead pixals or worse.
2) Take your first microfiber cloth and wipe all the dust and loose dirt from your LCD monitor, always wipe from left to right. Never apply too much pressure. Dont worry if there is still junk on your screen, you are just trying to get the surface level junk off your monitor.
3) Apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol to the second cloth. You should use just enough rubbing alcohol so that the cloth is slightly wet to the touch, but not dripping. You don't wont any alcohol dripping on to your laptop or computers other components while you are doing the cleaning.
4) Wipe the screen with your wet cloth from left to right, applying only a light amount of pressure. Always use a light touch.
5) Dry your screen completely with an unused section of the dry cloth making sure there is absolutely no wetness from the rubbing alcohol remaining on your screen.
Tip: Never touch your LCD monitors screen with your bare hands. Standard LCD monitors are not meant to be touched. The oiles from your skin can have a negative effect on the screen.
Now reinsert your batter in the laptop or connect the power to your monitor and you'll have a nice clean screen. You will be surprised how this will improve your over all computer experience.
