Property Managers & Vacation Rental Hosts

Would you find value in a Vacation Rental Inspection service before guest arrival?

Over the years, our company Emerson Cleaning and Caretaking has successfully cleaned many vacation rentals while maintaining 5-star ratings and strong guest experiences. While we’ve decided to significantly limit the number of vacation rentals we personally clean, we’re considering adding Vacation Rental Inspections as a service.

These inspections would help ensure properties are truly guest-ready before check-in by checking things like:

-Cleanliness & overall presentation
-Beds/towels setup
-Lights, TVs & remotes working
-Supplies stocked
-Thermostat/WiFi functioning
-Damage or maintenance concerns
-Lock/keypad functionality
-Overall guest-ready appearance

The goal would be to catch issues before guests arrive and provide extra peace of mind for owners and property managers.

Be honest… when you stay at a vacation rental, do you actually care if the towels are WHITE or is another color fine?

White towels sound like a great idea until you realize one makeup stain, hard water, self tanner accident, or mystery kid juice incident later… they become a full-time job 😂 Because of this, many rental owners and hosts have switched to colored towels.

As cleaners, we’re constantly trying to balance:
✨ Clean-looking
✨ Soft
✨ Stain-free
✨ AND realistic to maintain

So I’m curious —
Would colored towels bother you in a rental, or do you prefer white no matter what?
