☀️ I know this post might surprise some people… because it surprised me too.
If you’ve ever draped a muslin or blanket over your stroller to keep your baby out of the sun… please know this:
You’re not a bad parent. ❤️
In fact, you’re doing exactly what every loving parent does, trying to protect your little one.
The problem is that something which feels like it’s keeping baby cooler can actually reduce airflow and trap heat inside the stroller.
As a CPST, one of my biggest passions is sharing evidence based safety information that helps families make informed choices, not to create guilt, but to empower parents with knowledge.
Swipe through to learn:
☀️ Why babies are more vulnerable to overheating
🌡️ What happens when a stroller is covered
✅ Safer ways to keep your little one cool this summer
If this post teaches you something new, I’d love if you could save it for later and share it with another parent or caregiver. It might be the information someone didn’t know they needed.
At the end of the day, we’re all just doing our very best to keep our little ones safe 💖🫧
