☀️ I know this post might surprise some people… because it surprised me too.

If you’ve ever draped a muslin or blanket over your stroller to keep your baby out of the sun… please know this:

You’re not a bad parent. ❤️

In fact, you’re doing exactly what every loving parent does, trying to protect your little one.

The problem is that something which feels like it’s keeping baby cooler can actually reduce airflow and trap heat inside the stroller.

As a CPST, one of my biggest passions is sharing evidence based safety information that helps families make informed choices, not to create guilt, but to empower parents with knowledge.

Ever wondered what goes into a professional car seat cleaner with me at Squeaky Seats? 🫧✨

Let me give you a little peek into my night as a professional car seat cleaner, complete with time stamps! This particular clean was a quieter Tuesday evening with just 2 seats on the schedule, making it the perfect opportunity to show you the process from start to finish.

Now, a typical Friday clean night can look a little different around here, as you all know! 🚗💨 With 7–8 items, multiple pick ups and deliveries across the Treasure Valley, and a lot more baby gear filling my garage, things get much busier (and later). But whether it’s 2 seats or 8, every clean follows the same careful process and attention to detail.

This is a great overview of what happens behind the scenes with me to safely refresh your little one’s space while following manufacturer approved cleaning methods every step of the way. 💖

✨ Squeaky Seats turned ONE! ✨

One year of cleaning car seats, strollers, wagons, and baby gear.

One year of meeting the most wonderful families.

One year of late nights, early mornings, endless bubbles, and so much learning.

What started as a little idea fueled by a passion for helping families has grown into something I am so incredibly proud of. This year has brought challenges, growth, certifications, new friendships, and so many opportunities to serve our amazing Treasure Valley community.

To every family who has trusted me with your little one’s space, shared my business, left a review, referred a friend, or simply cheered me on, thank you. Truly. You are the reason Squeaky Seats is here today. 🫧💕

And what a month it was turning ONE. The month I also became a CPST (Child Passenger Safety Technician)! Safety has always been at the heart of what I do, and I can’t wait to continue bringing even more education and support to local families.

Here’s to one year of bubbles, safety, clean seats, and happy little passengers. 🥂✨

This time of year always reminds us how much a little kindness can mean. 🩷✨🫧

Here at Squeaky Seats, we’re so grateful for the families who trust us to care for their car seats and baby gear every day — and now, we’d love to give back together. ✨

From now until Christmas, we’re collecting non-perishable food donations for our local food pantry. When you book any cleaning, simply leave your donation with your items when we pick up, or you drop off, and we’ll make sure it gets delivered safely to families in need across our community through food banks. 🥫

Many local families are feeling the strain this season, especially with ALOT of cuts being made and every small act, a can of soup, a box of pasta, a simple gesture truly makes a difference.

Let’s fill some shelves, warm some hearts, and spread a little love across the Treasure Valley this holiday season. 💫
