This is Cleaning Coach Josie. Sunday reset thought for every facility manager and owner heading into a new week.

Walk your building tomorrow morning like a customer, not like the person who pays the bills. Start at the front door. Touch the door handles. Use the bathroom. Look up. Your customers experience your building with fresh eyes every single day. You should too, at least once a week.

One fresh-eyes walk a week will show you more than a month of assuming everything is fine. If you want a professional set of fresh eyes, that is what I do. Send me a message.

This is Cleaning Coach Josie. If you are shopping for a cleaning company, ask this one question before you sign anything: what exactly is included in the scope?

If they cannot hand you a written scope with every task, every frequency, and every area listed, walk away. A company with no written scope is selling you a promise, not a service. And when something gets missed, you will have no document to point to.

The second red flag: no quality checks. Ask who inspects the work and how often. If the answer is nobody, you are buying blind. If you want help reviewing a scope before you sign, send me a message.

This is Cleaning Coach Josie. Your customers are doing inspections every day. They just never hand you the report.

They notice the dust on the bathroom door frame. The fingerprints on the glass nobody wiped. The trash can that got emptied but never relined. Small things, and every one of them is telling your customers a story about your standards.

Quality control is simply catching those things before your customers do. A walkthrough with fresh eyes, a short list, and a fix. That is what my Facility Cleaning Assessments are built on. If you want fresh eyes on your building, send me a message.

This is Cleaning Coach Josie. The cleanest buildings I walk into are not the ones with the biggest cleaning budgets. They are the ones with a system that runs without anyone having to remember.

One routine holds almost every building together: a closing checklist that gets signed every single night. Not a mental list. A written one, with a name and a time next to it. When nobody signs off, nobody is accountable, and that is when the corners start getting skipped.

Does your building have a closing routine, or is it running on memory? If you want me to look at your system, send me a message.

This is Cleaning Coach Josie. I spend my days walking through commercial buildings, and I see the same pattern again and again. The front of the house looks beautiful. The back of the house tells the truth.

Restaurant owners and facility managers, what is the one area in your building that your cleaning crew never seems to touch?

Share it in the comments. I read every single one.

Tuesday truth for facility managers.

If your building keeps looking 'cleaned' but never actually clean, the problem is usually the scope, not the crew.

I am Cleaning Coach Josie, a Facility Cleaning Coach and Consultant. I do Facility Cleaning Assessments that show you exactly where your building stands: condition, frequency, responsibility, procedure, and verification.

If you run a restaurant, clinic, office, school, daycare, church, or property, message me to request an assessment.

This is Cleaning Coach Josie.

Local news just reported a Memphis restaurant on South Third Street scored a 77 on its health inspection. The citation: heavy grease buildup on the kitchen walls, ceilings, and floors.

Here is what I want every restaurant owner to hear. Grease on the walls and ceiling means the cleaning scope only covers what customers see. The kitchen gets mopped, the dining room gets wiped, and everything above eye level never gets a frequency, a person, or a procedure written for it.

That is exactly what a walkthrough catches. Not the floors. The walls, the ceilings, the surfaces nobody put into the scope.

If you run a restaurant, message me. I will walk your building and show you where you stand.
