We are not the new kids on the block, I have been building and remodeling homes since 1986 and have owned my own construction company since 2000. We have invested 12 years into training our team with Soft Wash Systems. We use their equipment and biodegradable soaps and other chemicals, and we have served on the Soft Wash Systems Teaching and Training Staff, Pro Staff, and Board of Directors. We ev
en help coach others on a national, and international level. We love to give back to our community and share in the knowledge that we have gained over almost four decades of home service work. We use Ask the Seal to background check our employees, so you can be confident we are sending only safe and qualified people to your home. An article I wrote for some of our marketing materials. In the greater Mankato area and actually all over Minnesota, we see limestone used in many older, and historic buildings, and it is making a huge comeback in new commercial, and residential buildings. Limestone is rich in dolomite and magnesium which makes it perfect for construction projects that need surfaces that are resistant to weathering. The sedimentary rock is found near the Minnesota River and its tributaries, this vein of limestone is said to be 450 million years old. While being a durable and weather resistant material, special care must be taken in the cleaning and restoration of the limestone surfaces. Our local manufacturer said "you should never apply a pressure greater than 500 PSI", we at Spray Away SoftWash created the phrase "Science over Pressure" as we use chemistry and less than 100 PSI to apply and rinse our solutions. Excessive pressure can erode and deteriorate the surface causing premature failure of the expensive and otherwise durable surface. The soft washing process that we use gently delivers a mix of anti-bacterial, algaecide, and other environmentally safe soaps that not only clean and neutralize the organic staining, as well as remove dirt and debri, but gets deep into the pours of the stone to give the customer a longer lasting clean. We have cleaned many buildings for the city of Mankato as well as in Blue Earth County. We are the preferred vendor of our local stone manufacturer as our process meets the guidelines they have set fourth to be used when cleaning their stone. It is very important in our climate of freeze and thaw cycles, to make sure you maintain the cleaning of your limestone. The algae and dirt can hold moisture and this can freeze and cause cracking and scaling of the limestone, this is especially true on the honed stone or smooth finish. Cleaning the stone is very affordable when you consider the cost of replacement. We look forward to cleaning many more historic buildings in the Mankato and Rochester areas as well as maintaining the new construction that has been and will continue to use durable surfaces like limestone for beauty and durability on the exterior and interior details of new construction. We use Soft wash Systems equipment and environmentally friendly soaps as part of our cleaning process and we invite you to check them out at www.softwashsystems.com.
