ANTS
-Baits work by translocation, the ants share the "food" and eliminate the
entire colony.
-Baits are slow-acting, it will take 10-14 days for you to see results.
-Do not use any sprays, cleaners, etc inside after an interior ant
treatment was performed. Allow two weeks for ants to
find, consume and share our baits with the colony before calling for a
service call. BED BUGS
-Are not the sa
me as dust mites
-Bed Bugs feed on mammals, While dust mites feed on body soil
(skin cells)
-Their behavior is to spread out and hide, neighboring units should also
be inspected. BEES/WASPS
-Will make new nests every season (except Honey Bees)
-Bees typically make nests on sunny sides of buildings
-Nests become large towards the end of summer
FLIES
-They breed every 2-3 days
-They prefer areas like drains, trash cans, decaying matter, gutters. missing tile grout and dead rodents/animals
-The presence of flies typically indicates other problems, such as
plumbing issues, bad sanitation practices and other pests such as mice
MICE/RATS
-Rodenticides take a minimum of 5-7 days to take effect, which means
you will continue to hear/see activity during this period.
-A family of mice can become 50-60 in as little as 90 days.
-A mouse's territory can be very small, if conditions are optimal if could
be only a few sqft.
-A rat's territory can be very large. A couple football fields is not unheard
of for rats to travel in search of food or harborage. Rodent droppings - Use a sanitizing wipe or vacuum with a HEPA filter
to clean up rodent droppings. Sweeping them up "dry" will stir up their
pathogens which can cause you to get sick. ROACHES
-Even dead roaches can lay live eggs
-Cleaning up the carcasses as much as possible will significantly
speed up control of German Roaches.
-Roaches can carry over 30 different types of bacteria just on their legs. SPIDERS
-Routine maintenance is imperative for continued control
-Sweeping/dusting/removing their webs aids greatly
-Spiders will relocate if you disrupt their life cycle
