Good morning Friends! Just a quick heads-up for those who might be coming for just STRAWBERRIES or BASIL... both are Sold Out, I'm very sorry to say 😔... And there are fewer than a dozen Persian Cucumbers. However, we do still have more than 200 Tomato Plants, so come quick!! (I'm sorry I couldn't produce more than I did, I truly am 🙏🙏🙏). Sad lesson learned... don't walk away from Instagram for 5 years and expect to know how to do ANYTHING on it when you come back! 😅😂🙃 Oh well, I'll do what I can, Old School... Trying to get y'all fired up for the 2026 Spring Pop Up. It can't be called JUST a Tomato Party, because we'll have Baby Persian Cucumbers, lovely Basil Genovese, and the amazing Mara des Bois Strawberries joining 38 varieties of Tomatoes!
We're only 10 days away from kick off! One weekend only, of course, so don't miss it!! ❤🙏🥳

I'm utterly shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of the dear Jeanette Marantos who was a friend, mentor and mighty champion of Two Dog Nursery, especially during the Pandemic years. I'm in disbelief, as I am sure are all garden lovers in Southern California. May she Rest in Verdant Peace 🙏❤🙏Here's the Breaking News story from the L.A. Times:

Jeanette Marantos, a Features reporter, died following an emergency heart issue. She helped educate readers about native California plants. She described her reporting as her own ongoing education.

After a 9 hour "Nursery Day" yesterday with 2 of my dearest helpers, Nitzia and Oscar, all the seeds are sown and everything is moving along well towards the March Pop Up. My body complained last night, and when I got up it was still complaining (Ice & Heat, my morning friends). Then I watched the Live Stream of the Venerable Monks beginning their walk on Day 99 in freezing weather, and I told my body, Shhhh... 🙏❤😮‍💨. One foot in front of the other. Here's hoping the Full Moon stimulates excellent germination. Have a lovely day, friends.❤

We made it to the Solstice, friends... the light just can't come fast enough (no matter how you want to interpret that.) Heavy days and lots of heartache, but for me, the greatest antidote is always my garden. The Fall/Winter crops are doing so well, and they're going to love the coming rain. And though it almost feels frivolous, given the moment we're in, I'm working hard on the Spring "Tomato Party" Pop Up, because for me, and probably many of you, Spring on the horizon is also a bit of a life raft. So, Save the Dates: March 21 and 22, 2026... something sweet to look forward to. I'll get a Newsletter sent out with lots of details ASAP, but meanwhile, I wish you all very Happy Holidays. ❤ The state of our kitchen counter most of the summer! 🙏❤ The second photo is the gorgeous "Beauty King", and the third is a group of beautiful "Alice's Dream" . This is the first time I've grown either; they'll both definitely be back on the 2025 lineup!!
