Experienced Handyman Needed Today in Long Beach — Furniture Rescue + Installation

I’m looking for an experienced, detail-oriented handyman near Downtown Long Beach. An arrival around 2:00 PM would be perfect; otherwise, anytime between 2:30 and 5:30 PM may work. The job itself is expected to take approximately one to two hours.

A rotating bookcase was assembled backward by a previous worker, with several shelves installed upside down. Some screws may also be stripped, so the unit needs to be carefully assessed, disassembled and rebuilt correctly.

The work includes:

• Extracting any stripped screws without damaging the unit
• Disassembling and correctly rebuilding the rotating bookcase
• Securely mounting a gold valet rod to a built-in closet system

You must have your own complete toolkit, including screw-extraction tools, drill, level and appropriate mounting hardware. Proven furniture-assembly and installation experience is required.

Pay: $40 per hour. The work should not exceed two hours without prior approval.

Yesterday’s Purge Session lasted 7.5 hours—and that was for the Lounge alone.

Because a true reset begins long before the bins, baskets, and beautiful systems. We work through decisions, stories, try-ons, categories, and how the space genuinely needs to function.

Today, the Purge Session continues in the closet and bathroom before we circle back to finalize the Lounge’s ‘Keep’ category.

First, we clear with intention. Then, we build systems designed for real life. The transformation is underway. 💛

Be honest:

How many times have you stood in front of a closet FULL of clothes and said:

“I have nothing to wear.” 😭

Meanwhile there are probably entire outfits in there you forgot existed.

That’s why visibility is one of the biggest things I think about when resetting a closet.

When you can actually see what you own, your wardrobe starts working differently.

Professional organizing is not just somebody coming over and putting your things into cute bins.

Before I decide where something should go, I’m looking at:

• what you actually use
• how often you use it
• how you naturally move through the space
• what keeps creating clutter
• what will realistically be maintainable after I leave

Because a beautiful system that you can’t maintain isn’t a good system.

Organized. Elevated. Intentional.

That’s the difference. ✨
