Cleaning your vehicle doesn't have to be one of them.

Could you vacuum it yourself? Absolutely.

Could you scrub the cup holders, wipe every surface, clean the windows, get into all those little crevices and spend a few hours getting it properly cleaned?

Also yes.

But you don't have to.

There is no minimum crumb requirement.

You can simply decide you'd rather spend your time doing something else.

Sometimes outsourcing a job isn't about whether you can do it yourself.

Your fleet vehicle might belong to the company...

But for the employee driving it every day, it's also their workspace.

They eat lunch in it.
Take calls in it.
Drive from job to job in it.

This FJ looked pretty darn clean.

So why were we here?

Mouse odor.

When a vehicle is already this clean but still has an odor, cleaning what you can see isn't going to solve the problem. You have to figure out where it's actually coming from.

This one required more disassembly than we typically do as we worked our way into the hidden areas of the vehicle.

And eventually, we found the problem—a few mice that hadn't made it back out. We removed what we could find, and did warn the customer that may not be the end of the smell. There could be more hidden too deep for us to get to.

Sometimes detailing is about making a dirty vehicle clean.

Sometimes it's detective work.

This one was definitely the latter.

New vehicles are expensive.

You know what's considerably less expensive?

Taking care of the one you already have.

Detailing won't erase miles from the odometer or make an older vehicle brand new again.

But keeping the interior clean and caring for the surfaces you use every day can make you enjoy driving it a whole lot more.

Sometimes you don't need a new car.

You just need to remember why you liked yours in the first place.
