Did you know that The Carpet and Rug Institute, (yes it's a real thing) recommend that households with kids and pets should get their carpets cleaned every six months?
Also most major carpet manufacturers require professional deep cleaning every 12 months to keep the carpet's warranty valid. Some require hot-water extraction by a qualified professional and proof of cleaning with a receipt. Both of which we do.
Waiting until the carpet looks dirty can cause abrasive dirt particles to grind against and damage the fibers, leading to a shorter lifespan and discoloration.
Carpet that isn't cleaned regularly may only last 5-7 years before it is discolored and loses it's "fluff", where as carpets cleaned at least annually can last up to 15 years. Considering the average cost of re-carpeting a 3,000 sq/ft home is 15-20k for mid-grade carpet, doesn't spending $200-300 to get your carpets cleaned at least once a year to double the life-span of your carpet make a lot of sense?
