Skincare 101:
Why should you exfoliate?

You may be cleansing, toning, and moisturizing - but if you’re not exfoliating, your skin isn’t as healthy as it could be! Everybody wants that "glow", right? I can help with masks & peels & skinvigorate brushes too.

Exfoliating regularly is essential because it gets rid of dulling, dead skin cells to allow younger, healthier-looking cells to surface. It also preps skin for the products that follow by removing dry, dead skin cells that can create a barrier to your moisturizer or make other skincare ingredients less effective. To optimize the results you see with your daily regimen, make sure you are exfoliating at least once a week.

Everyone has a different skin type, so it’s important to find an exfoliation product that fits your personal needs.

If you use a manual exfoliating scrub, choose one with smooth, round granules rather than jagged, rough particles to avoid injuring your skin. Be gentle with the scrub—a light touch is all you need to slough off the dead skin cells. Any more than that and you’re likely to irritate your skin.
