Lately I have seen so many “life hacks” that involve using cleaning products in unintended ways. My advice is don’t! Mixing chemicals can create poisonous gas and using the wrong chemicals on surfaces can ruin them. Stick to reading the label on your products and use them accordingly.

Toilet bombs keep the bowl fresh in between cleaning. I make them by combining 1 cup baking soda, 1/4cup citric acid, 1/8 cup borax (optional), 20-30 drops of essential oil, and a few sprays of hydrogen Peroxide. Mix just until the contents hold shape when squeezed in your hand adding 1 spray of peroxide at a time. Use molds or form balls in your hand. Let dry a few days. A kid and pet safe product that will not harm your toilet or sewer system.

Do you despise cleaning a microwave with stuck on food? Just fill a mug with water and microwave for 3-5 minutes. Let it sit an additional 2 minutes, remove the mug, and wipe with a warm damp cloth!
