Have you ever seen small holes in wood, brick or other items in your yard that look like they have been stuffed with green leafy stuff?
Leafcutter bees are out this time of year. Each bee is the queen of her own kingdom that lines existing holes with leaf cuttings then lays an egg and leaves a store of pollen in the hole and then seals it with more leaves. Next summer with any luck her eggs will hatch into more successful queen bees.
These bees don't swarm or colonize and very rarely sting so they are far less dangerous than some of their cousins. Leafcutters are fantastic pollinators and excellent additions to any garden but if you find a hive of other bees or wasps just give us a call, we'll take care of it for you .

Scorpions are out and about! Be careful about leaving shoes on the ground. Make sure you shake out your shoes before putting them on.

StingRey Pest Control, treated a rental that was infested with cockroaches in the kitchen. Cockroach p**p was found when we pulled the stove away from the wall. We also found german cockroaches nesting in the installation of the refrigerator close to the motor. Next picture are egg sacs (ootheca) from the roaches found inside the rental.

Found a wolf spider today, which was about 2 inches long. Wolf spiders will eat insects around your home. To avoid having wolf spiders around your home, clear vegetation from the perimeter of your house. Seal cracks and holes around doors and window sills. If you’re having issues with any kind of spiders, call Freddie to take care of your pest control needs.
