Meet Sashe Ivy, the founder of a Black woman-owned and Chicago-based construction firm called Pink Hard Hatz Construction, which aims to break barriers in the male-dominated industry while providing the best service to all its customers.

In her 15 years of experience in the construction and real estate industry, Ivy said she had often only seen men in the field. In fact, studies show women make up just under 11% of construction workers, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. That's when Ivy decided to step and create the change.

"I was sitting in a meeting. Once again, it was all-male contractors. And I thought about how females can do this," Ivy told ABC 7 News.

Too many travelers are dying from carbon monoxide poisoning in AirBnB's. It's worth the investment to stay safe and ALIVE.

Pro Travel Tip: Sisters carbon monoxide is a slient killer; travel with and use a carbon monoxide detector. Airbnb does not require homes to have a carbon monoxide detector.

Having and using your own can save you and your families life. They are inexpensive and can be found on Amazon. You just plug them into the wall and if the power goes out the backup batteries keep them working. I travel with and have them in my home (kitchen and all bedrooms)

There's so many benefits to having a pet for veterans experiencing depression, PTSD, anxiety and other mental health issues. They have dogs that offer support for those suffering with physical disabilities and may be trained in offering specialized assistance or it could be just for comfort, to keep you from feeling alone. Whatever the situation, the love and loyalty a pet offers can be so rewarding. I have a cat, Darla, who is very affectionate and loves attention.☺️
