💦 What's the secret to success in the pool service visit?

Is it brushing? Balancing chemicals? Cleaning filters? Checking equipment?

Here's the truth… THAT'S THE BARE MINIMUM! 💯

Anyone can learn to clean a pool. But building a successful service business takes more than just completing a checklist.

The real secret sauce? 🔥

It's building relationships, respecting your customers and their property, communicating, being proactive, and taking pride in your work.

Your customers aren't just paying for a clean pool. They're trusting you to care for their investment.

Cleaning pools is our job. Going above and beyond is our reputation.

At Your Pool Buddy, we believe success isn't measured by how many pools you clean, but by the relationships and trust you build along the way.

Don't just provide a service. Provide an experience. 🤝

Come service this pool with me! 💦🧰

A normal service visit is a lot more than just skimming a few leaves and tossing in some chlorine. We’re checking the water chemistry, cleaning up the pool, inspecting the equipment, and making adjustments to help keep everything running the way it should.

Every pool is a little different, and getting to know each one is what helps us catch small problems before they turn into expensive ones.

Just another day keeping pools clean, clear, and ready to enjoy. 😎

A fresh pool remodel should still look fresh two months later.

This pool was refilled after a remodel, but the startup chemistry wasn’t properly managed. By the time we were called in, the water had been left in a heavily calcium-forming condition, causing significant discoloration and buildup across the new finish.

We corrected the water chemistry and performed a treatment designed to break down the calcium buildup and restore the appearance of the surface without immediately jumping to a drain and acid wash.

The results speak for themselves.

Proper startup chemistry matters — especially on a brand-new pool finish.

Green pool recovery in 3 visits. 🟢➡️🔵

Visit 1: Break the algae loose and treat the water.

Visit 2: The algae is dead, so now it’s time to vacuum it out, clean up the debris, retest, and make the next chemical adjustments.

Visit 3: Finish the recovery, dial the water back in, and watch the pool come back to life.

Green pool recoveries aren’t always a one-visit fix. Sometimes it takes the right process, a little patience, and a few trips to get it done properly.

Back on Monday for the final look! 💧 This is the result of our Green pool recovery after 3 visits. The algae is completely defeated and the water is crystal clear!

Next up, we’re waiting to hear back from the homeowner on whether they want to move forward with a stain treatment before we do our final chemical rebalance. 🧪

Thanks for following along with this transformation! What do you think of the results? Let me know in the comments! 👇

What started as a Green to Clean turned into a whole lot more.

Once the water cleared up, we found heavy calcium buildup and discoloration across the pool finish. Instead of draining and acid washing the pool, we used a calcium and etching treatment to remove the buildup while protecting the life of the finish.

The results speak for themselves. The discoloration is gone, the surface looks dramatically better, and the pool is back to looking beautiful.

Now this pool is on our regular weekly maintenance program so we can keep the water balanced and help prevent this kind of buildup from coming back.

PART 2 — Green to Clean Turnaround 💦

Here’s the pool just 24 hours after we started treatment.

Today we vacuumed the pool to waste, tested and adjusted the water, brushed everything down, and removed as much dead algae and debris as possible.

The transformation is already looking good, but we’re not finished yet. Since it’s the weekend, we’ll let the treatment continue working and come back Monday to keep moving this pool in the right direction.

Stay tuned for Part 3 👀

What started as a simple service quote turned into a full pool turnaround.

We found black algae throughout the pool, a leaking filter, a frozen multiport valve, a dirty salt cell, high system pressure, and a few features the homeowner wanted working again.

We treated the algae, rebalanced the water, cleaned the salt cell, repaired the equipment, restored the bubbler and pool lights, and installed a heater bypass to help bring the pressure down.

This is why the details matter. A pool can look okay on the surface while the equipment is telling a completely different story.
