But twisted straps are something I see all the time, and many parents don’t realize they can be a safety concern.

When a harness is twisted, it may not distribute crash forces across your child’s body the way it was designed to.

The good news is that this is one of the easiest car seat mistakes to fix.

It usually takes less than two minutes to untwist the harness and make sure everything is laying flat.

This isn’t about judgment.

Most parents simply don’t know until someone tells them.
