When our team did the walkthrough of this school, one of the areas we were shown was the janitorial closet that the previous cleaning company had been managing.
One of our immediate thoughts was, if we get this contract, this is one of the first things we want to take care of.
There was really no order to anything.
And one thing we’ve learned over the years in the cleaning business is that a janitorial closet matters more than people may realize.
For one, this is still our client’s building. If they walk into their janitorial closet and see everything thrown around and unorganized, that’s a reflection of how their facility is being managed.
But it also affects the cleaning team.
A clean and organized janitorial closet helps our team stay efficient. We know exactly what we have, what’s missing, what needs to be replaced, and where everything is when it’s time to get to work.
When we looked at this closet, we saw chaos and disorder, and we knew we needed to come in and restore some order.
Needless to say, we got the contract!
And this was one of the first things we took care of.
We cleaned it up, purchased a new shelf, organized the supplies, brought in some of our own equipment and products, and got everything set up so our team can come in and do their job efficiently.
Next up, we’ll be completing a full strip and wax throughout the school. After that, our job is simple: keep this facility clean and well maintained for the staff and students who use it every day.
Sometimes the little things tell you a lot.
