Mamas, let’s talk winter coats and car seat safety!

That big, fluffy winter coat might keep your little one warm, but it can also put them at risk in the car.

Here’s why: bulky coats compress during a crash, creating dangerous extra space between your child’s body and the harness. Even when the straps seem tight, they may not be snug enough to protect your child properly.

✨ Instead, try this:
• Buckle your child in wearing thin, warm layers.
• Make sure the harness is snug against their body.
• Use a blanket OVER the secured harness to keep them warm.
• Put their coat on backward over their arms once they’re buckled in.

A few extra seconds can make a difference. This isn’t about mom-shaming; it’s about sharing information that could help keep our babies safe. 🤍

I wanted to take a minute to show you what “no stone left unturned” really means to our company, but clearly I need a little more practice getting footage of myself cleaning 🤣

If we can see it, we’re going to do our absolute best to make sure our microfiber cloth reaches it. Is it realistic to think I can get every single speck of dirt? No. Is it necessary? Probably not. Will I sit there for 3 hours trying before finally accepting defeat? Absolutely 💪🏻🥱

“If I can see it, I’m cleaning it.” That’s the standard we hold ourselves to at The Safety Refresh Co. 💛

I know I use “we” a lot when talking about the business, but unfortunately, it’s just me over here running the show. Which means, as much as I love you all… I quit.

Kidding. Mostly.

In all seriousness, I do need a little break! With that being said, consider this your official notice that The Safety Refresh Co will be out of office Thursday, 10/22, through Sunday, 10/25.

During this time, I will not be responding to messages or website service requests. I’ll be back and responding to everything on Monday, 10/26.

BUT… to hopefully earn your forgiveness for disappearing on you, I’ll be opening appointments Monday-Wednesday next week.

Since this is short notice, I highly recommend booking your appointments ASAP. I only have a limited number of openings available before I’m out of office, and once they’re filled, they’re filled!

Thank you all for continuing to support this little one-woman show. I appreciate you more than you know, and I promise I’ll be back before you have too much time to miss me 😉

Reintroducing Families Helping Families 💛

I’m so happy to share that Families Helping Families is officially back with a new setup!

If you’ve been around for a while, you probably remember the monthly donation drives and free cleaning drawings we started last year. Life got busy, and unfortunately the program ended up on pause for a while.

Here’s how it works:

💛 NEED A FREE CLEANING?
Submit a private request through the Request Financial Assistance button on our website to enter our free cleaning drawing. Drawings will now take place every three months based on available donations.

💛 NEED HELP SOONER?
You don’t have to wait for a drawing - You can request assistance anytime, whether you need a cleaning sooner or weren’t selected during a drawing.

💛 CAN’T AFFORD OUR REGULAR RATES?
Depending on your circumstances and our availability, additional discounted rates are always an option too.

💛 WANT TO HELP ANOTHER FAMILY?
You can now donate directly through our website! Every contribution helps cover supplies and service costs so we can support more local families. Whether it’s $10 or $50, every bit makes a difference! 🫶🏻

As a small business owned by a single parent, this program has always meant a lot to me. Life gets overwhelming, finances get tight, and sometimes a little help goes a long way. There’s no judgment, no financial documents required, and no shame in asking for help.
