I shared the full story on my personal page, but I felt this message belonged here too because this page reaches so many parents and caregivers who may need to hear it.
Seven years ago, I walked away from an abusive relationship with one child in my arms, another on the way, very little to my name, and no idea what my future would look like. I was scared, overwhelmed, and convinced I was alone.
Today, my life looks completely different.
I have a career I love, a business I’m incredibly proud to serve our community through, three amazing kids, and a home filled with the peace I once thought I’d never have.
The journey wasn’t easy. Healing rarely is. It took years of rebuilding, learning, growing, and believing in myself again. There were setbacks, difficult days, and moments when I questioned everything. But every small step forward mattered.
One thing I’ve learned is this: you never truly know what someone is carrying. Behind every parent who drops off a car seat, every family you pass in the grocery store, or every smile you see online, there may be a story of incredible resilience.
If you’re in a difficult season right now, whether you’re leaving an unhealthy relationship, rebuilding your life, or simply trying to make it through today, I want you to know this: You are not alone.
There is life after survival. There is peace after chaos. There is hope, even when you can’t see it yet.
My mission has always been about keeping children safe, but I also hope this page can be a place where parents feel supported, encouraged, and reminded that they’re stronger than they realize.
If you ever need someone to listen, a safe place to vent, or simply someone to remind you that you’re capable of getting through this, my inbox is always open 💛
