Just a cozy little reminder that behind Cozy Cottage Cleaners is a real person — equal parts iced lattes, chaos coordination, penny shopping, deep cleans, cottagecore dreams, and loving my people fiercely. ☕🖤🍄

This business started as “just cleaning houses,” but it’s become so much more than that. It’s community, connection, trust, growth, late nights, early mornings, and building a life for my family one clean at a time.

So here’s a tiny illustrated version of me — the tired, caffeinated cleaning fairy behind the mop. 😂✨

Dang I didn’t realize Yates center days was today. We’re off to legoland for my son’s birthday, if anyone else goes and gets to try the canned flight lattes let me know how they are! I wish I could try them today!

Okay friends, I need some local recommendations/help 😊

As most of you know, I’m constantly on the lookout for penny deals and great finds that I can donate back into the community, and I’ve ended up with a huge amount of brand new items that I’d really love to get into the hands of people who could use a little extra kindness or joy.

I have things like:
• ladies’ slippers
• water bottles
• cute accessories
• sparkly pens
• school supplies like report covers, paper, small 3 ring binders
• little self-care and comfort items
• summer decor
• candles
• silver napkin rings
• household items like brand new glass mugs, plates, and silverware
• 4th of July decorations
• puzzles and games for kids
• hundreds of hats and gloves (I plan to donate a lot to humanity house for the coat giveaway they do)
• and all kinds of random fun goodies for girls/women/teens and families

I already donate regularly to Hope Unlimited, blessing boxes, and I’m going to the nursing homes and Pregnancy Resource Center this week, but I’m still going to have quite a bit more.

Does anyone know of:
• foster placement programs/foster closets
• school counselor or nurse offices
• teen girl hygiene closets
• hospital staff appreciation rooms
• women’s programs/shelters
• organizations helping teens or families in crisis

And if so… who would I contact? 😊

Especially around Iola and surrounding areas, but I’m open to nearby communities too. I’d really love for these items to go somewhere they’ll brighten someone’s day 💕

Be honest… would you have tackled this stove or called for backup? 😅

This one was not a “quick wipe and done” kind of clean. It took scraping, scrubbing, patience, and a whole lot of elbow grease — but watching it come back to life was SO worth it.

This is the kind of reset that reminds me exactly why I started Cozy Cottage Cleaners.

More than a clean… a fresh start. 🤍

UPDATE: Photo in comments. I went back less than three hours later to add more items, and almost everything we had placed in the blessing box was gone and replaced with mostly canned food. All that remained was cereal we had put in.

I’m honestly heartbroken. My daughter and I put a lot of time, effort, and money into gathering food, hygiene products, school supplies, hair accessories, makeup, and other small essentials to help fill this box with a variety of things people may need.

I’m reaching out to Humanity House tomorrow to ask if there are specific rules or if the box is food-only. If the items were removed because they weren’t allowed, I’m hoping to get them back so I can donate them directly to other families or organizations.

I truly just wanted these items to reach people who needed them. 💛

Cozy Cottage Cleaners gave this blessing box a whole lot of love today. 💛

We added food, cereal, baby items, bars of soap, liquid body wash, hair accessories, stationery/school supplies, makeup, storage cube racks, and lots of little extras.

Because sometimes kindness looks like groceries… and sometimes it looks like shampoo, soap, school supplies, or something small that makes life feel a little easier.

Take what you need, leave what you can, and keep the kindness going. ✨

This donation meant a lot to us. 💜 🩵 Shyla made this reel and wanted me to share it. We put a lot of time, effort, and heart into gathering a big donation drop for Hope Unlimited — games, hair accessories, personal hygiene items, food, kids’ workbooks, cleaninf supplies and more. Hope Unlimited is such an essential part of our community. They helped me and my kids during one of the hardest times in our lives, when I was terrified, lost, and didn’t know what to do, and I’ll always be grateful for that. And before anybody says anything, yes, I know the camera work isn’t perfect — she’s learning😅 Their current wish list is in the comments if anyone would like to help too.

Humanity House helped me personally when I needed it most, and I know they’ve helped so many others too.

Seeing an organization that pours so much into our community get hit like this is just awful.

These weren’t just random items taken. This affects a place that helps real people.
