So I've noticed a lot of new views on my page. I have to be honest, I am terrible at posting here. I have a group of regular clients I see weekly, bi-weekly and monthly and so I just don't always think about posting.
Since there seems to be a little bit of interest in my business, I wanted to introduce myself again.
My name is Manuela, but everybody calls me Mani.
I am a wife and mother of two, I love animals and have several in my home. I work while my children are at school.
I started my business in January of 2018.
I offer cleaning as well as small organizing services. I pride myself in offering a unique style of cleaning in the way that I very much go by what my clients need at any given visit. I have a client who stayed home for a while after having her baby. So after quite a while of cleaning her entire house, I went to only cleaning her bathrooms while she stayed home. Really whatever my clients needs are I try to do my best to take care of them.
Because of that, I don't necessarily offer certain types of cleaning such as deep cleaning or maintenance, cleaning, etc. I simply ask when I send out my reminder what their needs are going to be for that cleaning.
My hourly rate is $25.
Charging by the hour has worked best for my business because it allows my clients to budget and decide how long they would like me in their home. I do remind all my clients that depending on how long they want me in their home, I may not be able to get everything done. In that case, I offer to rotate rooms so everything gets touched eventually.
I give discounts on a regular basis. For instance, this month is back to school madness. My discounts are usually 5 or $10 off at a visit.
My services can include anything from cleaning fans, dusting light fixtures, quick dusting of walls, baseboards, Windows on the inside, wiping of doors, door handles, light switches, outlets, wiping/ dusting of any kind of surfaces, bathrooms full cleaning and of course floors. The client gets to decide what they want me to address.
I do not take more than a couple minute breaks here and there to have a quick drink or a bite to eat. I believe that your time is just as valuable as mine.
If for some reason my brakes end up being a bit longer due to an important phone call that I had to take, etc, I will always deduct time off that day's charge. I also do not smoke so I do not step out for cigarette breaks.
I give my clients a choice to either supply the cleaners (whatever they want me to use in their home ) needed or, for a small extra charge of $10, I will bring them. All my current clients simply have what I need at their home. I do always bring rags as well as paper towels and a couple of other random cleaners if I find stubborn spots.
Due to a lifestyle change in their home, I did lose a client a couple of days ago so I currently have an opening for bi-weekly cleanings.
The best way to reach me honestly is via text. While I'm at work I do not answer the phone.
I offer a free meeting and walkthrough of the home. Please plan for the meeting to be anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours. Because I try to give the potential client the chance to get to know me so both parties can figure out if we would be comfortable working with each other and therefore would be a good fit. At that meeting the client would also show me any rooms that they would want me to address as well as going over the service agreement.
