This was a home I had listed for sale, and Copper & Birch Co. purchased it before completely transforming it! What started as a dated home full of layout challenges — from tight hallways and little character to an oddly placed laundry room — is now a stunning, functional space I’m so proud of.
My husband Dan Luaders and Thomas Finch did a full inside-and-out rehab, only hiring out electricians, plumbers, and a few specialty trades. Dan’s Rehab is perfection! 👏
Since the home sits on a slab, we saw the perfect opportunity to add universal design features, including:
Wider hallways
A more open kitchen layout
Lever door handles
Cabinet pulls instead of k***s
While we didn’t have the budget to meet full ADA standards, the home is now adaptable for accessibility if needed.
