Twenty years ago this week, I had finished testing the formula for RCC and began sending out samples to Riedel and Waterford crystal dealers around the US. Originally developed by me to wash my own wine glasses early testers urged to start making and selling it. I called glassware sellers in several cities and received strong encouragement to manufacture the product. I also got many requests for samples.
Thus was Restaurant Crystal Clean born.
I would very much like people who follow our page, or have liked it to share your reviews and experiences with RCC. It's been quite a ride with all the usual startup highs and lows.
But here we are 20 years later, with thousands of loyal satisfied customers.
A few years ago I was talking with the head of the tasting room at Silver Oak, a long time customer. We were talking about our previous lives, I had been a filmmaker in New York, for many years, and always felt my job was saving the world. And I lamented that.
She said to me, "Now you're making people happy one wine glass at a time." So that was an ah ha moment for me, it gave me a new purpose. I mean getting my wine glasses perfectly clean and pure was so important to me, I spent two years developing a formula that worked. I didn't realize how important that is to so many people. Now people can buy a bottle of it that will clean 2200 glasses for only $30 on Amazon. The whole thing is pretty amazing!
