People, and companies too, seriously underestimate how long a deep cleaning can take.

For this house, we estimated 18 labor hours.

It ended up taking 21. 😅

We had a team of three, so that’s about 7 labor hours per cleaning tech.

And this oven alone took us more than an hour. It wasn’t even the worst oven we’ve ever seen!

Oven cleaning is an add-on to our regular deep cleaning. If you cook a lot, or you’re getting ready for the holidays or a special occasion, it’s absolutely worth having it cleaned.

Now, for those who say, “I can clean my house myself”… of course you can! 😂

The question is: do you have the time, the tools, the energy, and the patience to spend 21 hours cleaning your own house?

That’s almost three full 8-hour workdays cleaning.

That’s a LOT of cleaning. 😂

And that’s exactly why professional cleaning can be worth it. We take those hours off your plate so you can spend them doing literally anything else.

So, this is going to be a long story, and there are quite a few things I want to talk about, so this one is going to be split into a couple of parts.

As part of my series, “Don’t invite me to your home because I will clean it,” let me show you this bathroom I found while visiting family I hadn’t seen in almost three years.

They’re getting older, dealing with some health issues, and have mobility problems. When I looked around the bathroom, I could see they had cleaning products and tools and that they were trying to clean.

But honestly, they were doing a pretty poor job.

The bathroom clearly wasn’t being cleaned well or often enough, and some areas had gotten really bad.

I was only there to visit, so of course, I didn’t bring any of my cleaning equipment or supplies with me.

But then I remembered there was a bottle of hard water stain remover in their garage. I had barely used it back when I was cleaning windows.

I had also seen some people on TikTok using it with really good results, so I figured, why not give it a try?

I tested it on a small area, and it actually worked great.

And that’s when I decided…

Yep. I’m cleaning this shower.

No proper equipment.
No professional tools.
No full arsenal of cleaning products.

Just whatever I could find.
