Proper preparation is everything. 🔨

Before we install a new pool finish, especially on an older pool, we chip out the existing plaster down to the gunite.

This removes loose and deteriorated material, exposes a solid surface, and allows us to identify any areas that need attention before the new finish goes in.

We don’t just cover up the old surface — we properly prep the pool so the new finish has the best foundation possible.

Quality starts before the new finish ever goes in. 💪

Jandy iQ30 saves the day! ⚙️📱

We had a customer whose existing automation system didn’t give us access to change the pool schedule. The Jandy iQ30 gave us the solution—and a whole lot more.

Today, we’re installing the iQ30 on a Jandy AquaLink system, giving the homeowner access to the iAquaLink app and the ability to control their pool system right from their phone.

From anywhere in the world—as long as the antenna has Wi-Fi access—you can control your pool equipment, adjust schedules, monitor the system, and manage your pool remotely.

In this walkthrough, we’ll show you:

One-month checkup on one of our Katy projects that we recently featured. 👀

And just look at how this pool is holding up!

The NPT StoneScapes Mini finish still looks incredibly uniform and beautiful. Our Orenda startup process definitely played a role in helping protect the new surface and maintain its appearance after the initial fill.

The way the marble coping complements the plaster color, paired with the new spray decking, completely transformed this backyard. What was once an outdated pool now has a clean, fresh, and timeless look.

We’re proud of how this one turned out—and even more excited to see how it continues to look after the first month.

Before our in-person meeting, we’ll need a copy of your property survey. This allows us to review your lot and determine what is possible for your pool project.

We’ll walk the property together, talk through your wants and needs, and discuss the best options for your backyard.

Eight years ago, I took a leap of faith and started Texas Pool Butlers.

I quit my job, started cleaning pools, and began building the business one customer at a time. I didn’t have a big team or a lot of equipment — just my parents’ pool equipment, a lot of determination, and a vision for what this could become.

What started as a small pool service company has grown into so much more.

Over the years, we’ve continued to learn, grow, and take on new challenges. Today, we’re not just maintaining pools — we’re building them from the ground up.

Looking back at where we started eight years ago compared to where we are today is something I’m incredibly proud of.

Thank you to every customer, friend, and person who has supported us along the way.

Here’s a quick look at what we did to bring this pool back to life!

We started by bead blasting the calcium buildup from the existing tile, then sealed the tile to help protect it and keep it looking beautiful for years to come.

We also:
🔹 Installed a brand-new skimmer
🔹 Added a new code-compliant main drain
🔹 Completely stripped the existing pool surface
🔹 Finished it with NPT StoneScapes Mini Pebble – Dapple Gray

The finished product came out spectacular! 🤩 From the updated equipment to the new interior finish, this pool is ready to be enjoyed for many summers to come.

We just wrapped up Day 6 on this beautiful NPT Stonescapes Mini Pebble in Dapple Gray, and the surface is looking absolutely beautiful and uniform. 🔥

We love the Orenda startup process because it’s designed to protect the new finish and help it cure properly from day one. The proof is in the pool!

For the past six days, we’ve been on-site brushing the entire pool and carefully balancing the water chemistry within the proper LSI (Langelier Saturation Index) range. This helps ensure the new surface cures properly, stays protected, and develops the beautiful, consistent finish our clients expect.
