Congratulations to this year’s Clean Snowmobile Team at Michigan Tech! Although there were plenty of rocky moments during the events at competition, the team worked hard to fix the problems that arose. We were awarded three awards, including Best SI Design Award, Best SI Value Benefit Award, and Best CI Value Benefit Award. We are proud to announce that we took first place in all virtual events for Spark-Ignited and Compression-Ignited classes for this years competition! This year, 10 SI and 5 CI teams competed, and this was the first year MTU has swept competition. We’re looking forward to another great year ahead!

We are currently raising funds for the SAE Advanced Motorsports Teams (AMS) to maintain our shared trucks and trailers, and we need your help!

The Advanced Motorsports Teams are made up of Clean Snow, Baja, Formula, and Supermileage. Each team utilizes these trailers to move supplies, attend competitions, and move vehicles for testing. The teams are responsible for the cost of maintaining both trucks and trailers. Recently the costs have overwhelmed our budgets, and we are struggling to keep up with the maintenance bills. One of our trucks has a totaled rear differential and a transmission needing a rebuild. The trailers also need repairs including brake lights, trailer brakes, peeling non-slip mats, and trailer jacks. All of these repairs need to be completed before students can take the rigs to competitions in the coming months.
Each AMS team has created separate crowdfunding campaigns on Michigan Tech Superior Ideas. The team that raises the most will get a bonus to help them complete future projects. There are also gifts for certain donation levels. The Clean Snow team would greatly appreciate your support! These vehicles are extremely important for our team to transport snowmobiles and produce the best results at competition.
