Free Grant 101 Workshop

Workshop Details:

This workshop is designed for:

• Writing Competitive Proposals
• Grant Readiness, Capacity & Management

The workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Jose Alcaine of the VCU Wilder School & School of Education.

There is no cost to attend, and all workshop materials plus breakfast or lunch will be provided.

Kitchen Dish Soap Pucks and Scrubber Brushes available! Soap Pucks are made in house and poured into recycled glass containers!

Update

Hello friends,

In the spirit of transparency, flexibility, and being very, very human… today’s monthly meeting is being moved to next Tuesday, May 26 from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM.

This month has been a bit of a whirlwind on my end, and between projects, events, and everyday chaos, I simply did not get the meeting planned the way it deserved to be. Rather than throw together something half-baked at the last minute, I’d rather take a few extra days and host a gathering that feels thoughtful, productive, and worth everyone’s time.

Thank you all for your patience, grace, and continued support as we build this community together in real time, crooked corners and all.

One thing about me, I’m always down for a trash clean up date day! I grew up cleaning trash with my parents. Every weekend at the beach and all in between. When we traveled the USA in our Skoolie Bus over 4 years, our family pickup at least a bag of trash everytime we stopped. I know we picked up a LOT. In places very few people got to explore.

I get really into it. Unfortunately there just a lot of trash everywhere. The only way to combat it is boots on the ground.

I will say I’m super proud of our local area. In the grand scheme of things the main areas in 1 square mile of the center of town are really well kept! We did identify areas that were catch points from rain/wind etc as well so we know focus areas for future days.

Today was our local VFW Post 1115 doing their Commemorative Day of Service and I was so proud to walk alongside helping to just be of service!

Got some sun, had good fun, ate good foods and spent time doing good s**t with good friends!
