Here are 3 things you can do right now to reduce spiders around your home. ๐ท๏ธ
These won't replace professional treatment โ but they can help remove the conditions spiders are looking for:
1๏ธโฃ Seal entry points. Spiders slip through tiny gaps around doors, windows, and where pipes enter walls. Check your weatherstripping and door sweeps, and run a bead of caulk along foundation cracks.
2๏ธโฃ Cut the food supply. Spiders go where other insects are. Switch exterior bulbs to yellow or warm-toned lighting (white light draws the insects spiders eat), and keep the area around doors clear of webs and clutter.
3๏ธโฃ Clear the hiding spots. Move woodpiles, leaf litter, and stored boxes away from your foundation and out of the garage corners. Less shelter near the house means fewer spiders setting up next to it.
Done all three and still seeing them indoors? That usually means the entry points run deeper than caulk can reach. That's what we're here for.
