Just Got a New Pool or Remodel? Don't Let the "Finish Line" Ruin Your Finish! 🏁💧

It’s tempting to think that once the water is in, the hard part is over. But the first 7 to 10 days of a pool’s life—the Startup Phase—are actually the most critical for the longevity of your plaster or quartz.

While homeowners are great at daily skimming, a professional Startup Tech is essential for protecting your investment. Here’s why:

Aggressive Water Chemistry: Fresh plaster is "alive" and constantly changing the water's pH as it cures. If the LSI (Langelier Saturation Index) isn't perfectly balanced daily, the water can "eat" the cream coat of your new finish, leading to permanent etching or scaling.

The Brushing Requirement: New plaster releases a massive amount of "plaster dust." If this isn't brushed professionally frequently, it can settle and "lock" into the finish, causing a rough, sandpaper-like texture that is impossible to fix later.
