🚫 Let’s talk about “cleaning hacks” for a second…

If you’ve seen the one where you coat your tub in body wash and wrap it in plastic for 48 hours—yeah… we need to talk.

What’s actually happening has nothing to do with the product being “amazing.” It’s just dwell time. You could leave almost anything on a surface for two days and it’ll start breaking things down.

✨ Real talk from a house cleaner of nearly a decade:

You don’t need gimmicks—you need the right product for the type of buildup.

Here’s the breakdown:

🧼 Grease / body oils / everyday grime
→ Dish soap (Dawn is king)

🧪 Organic buildup / mildew
→ Hydrogen peroxide

⚡ Hard water / mineral buildup
→ CLR (not every clean—just when needed)

🧽 Stubborn residue
→ Scrub brush or careful use of a magic eraser (they’re abrasive!)

And no—you do NOT need to let anything sit for 48 hours.

Most of the time:
→ 5–15 minutes of dwell time
→ A little agitation
→ Rinse

Done.

One of the simplest ways to refresh your home is to “burp” it — open a few windows for 10–20 minutes and let fresh air circulate through the space.

What does a Clean Slate visit actually look like?

Let’s break down one zone — the kitchen.

During a standard visit, we:

• Wipe cabinet fronts and handles
• Detail appliance exteriors
• Clean and disinfect countertops + backsplash
• Scrub and polish the sink + fixtures
• Spot clean baseboards as needed
• Vacuum and mop floors

Then we move to the next zone.

We don’t rotate tasks. We don’t “skip this week.”
Each area is reset at every visit — that’s how buildup stays gone.
