💙 Business Update 💙

For the first time since starting Cleaning by Jess, I’m taking a few days away from the office to spend time with my family ❤️

New service requests, consultations, estimates, and invoicing will be handled when I return on June 1st.

Running a small business is incredibly rewarding, and I’m grateful to know our team will continue taking great care of our clients while I’m away. I’ll still be available for emergencies, cancellations, and staff support.

When cleaning feels impossible and overwhelming, here’s the BEST cleaning tip:

Set a 20 minute timer.
Blast your favorite music.
Clean as fast as you can.

That’s it.

Don’t focus on finishing the whole house. Don’t focus on perfection. Just focus on 20 minutes.

Because the truth is — anyone can do almost anything for 20 minutes.

You’d be amazed how much you can accomplish in a short burst of motivation. A sink full of dishes becomes manageable. Laundry gets folded. Floors get picked up. Counters get wiped down. And most importantly… you start feeling productive again.

A clean rut usually isn’t laziness. Most of the time, people are just overwhelmed and don’t know where to start.

So start small.

Do one 20 minute reset a day. Or do a few if you’re feeling motivated. Little by little, those small efforts add up in a BIG way.

Doing a little is ALWAYS better than doing nothing at all. Progress is progress — even if it doesn’t look perfect. 🤍

Uncommon Knowledge: If you think those tiny black specks just “dust”... babe, that’s probably fly p**p. 😬

Yes. Fly. P**p.

House flies don’t just buzz around being annoying—they land on trash, dead things, animal waste, drains, and all kinds of nasty bacteria buffets.

Fly specks usually look like:
• tiny black or dark brown dots
• little clusters
• spots that smear when wiped

Flies are basically tiny flying health code violations, those spots can carry bacteria like E. coli, Salmonella, and other lovely germs because flies are out here living their best dumpster-diving lives.

Common places to check:
👀 Window sills / Windows
👀 Blinds / Curtains
👀 Lampshades
👀 Ceiling corners
👀 Ceiling fans, blades, & pull chains
👀 Around trash cans
👀 Near pet food areas
👀 Laundry rooms
👀 Kitchens & bathrooms
