Being a house cleaner independently running a business is tough. Honestly, kind of like this sourdough starter sitting on my counter. 😂

Sometimes it feels like life gets shaken up and the lid is screwed on way too tight... all the anxiety about gaining new customers, the stress of taxes, supplies, car maintenance, scheduling, and the fear of missing out on life because all you do is work. Then one day you loosen the lid, and suddenly everything comes pouring out everywhere like an overactive sourdough starter. Sticky mess included. Haha.

But in the middle of all of it, I still remind myself how grateful I am.

Grateful to make my own schedule. Grateful to help families who truly need a break. Grateful for the sweetest clients. And grateful that even through inflation, uncertainty, and the ups and downs of running a business, Jesus has always continued to provide.

Cheers to doing more than “just cleaning.”

Hello Facebook! Long time no talk 🤍

I’ve been a little quiet lately because I’ve been working behind the scenes on some really exciting updates for Maid by Maddie.

There are some fun things coming soon, including a brand new logo, embroidered shirts, and possibly transitioning to an LLC.

I’ve also been building out new service options, including “2 Hours with Maddie”. This is a flexible package that includes cleaning, organizing, and detail work, all wrapped into a budget-friendly but still premium flat rate.

This week has been a good one, mostly with my regular clients and one additional deep clean today, which are always so satisfying.

I’m really excited about where things are heading and can’t wait to share more soon 🤍

This may come as a surprise, but apart from cleaning, I absolutely love the simple things 🤍

Long walks in the woods, organizing my own home (yes… even off the clock 😅), working out, bike rides with my friend Candace, helping injured animals when I can, and riding horses.

Spring is finally here and I couldn’t be more excited 🌸 I think gardening might be next.

These are just a few things that fill my cup, and honestly they’re a big part of why I love what I do. Taking care of homes and creating peaceful spaces just feels natural to me 💜

My first sourdough loaf is officially in the books! 🥖

Cinnamon and brown sugar swirl and the whole family loved it 🤤

Now that I’m working out more, I’ll be giving more away than eating 😂

If you’re one of my clients… you might just get a surprise loaf one day 😉
