Non-toxic product highlight: Vinegar!
Vinegar is made from fermented ethanol (alcohol), which is a natural and renewable resource. It does not contain harsh chemicals, synthetic fragrances, dyes, or other additives commonly found in conventional cleaners, making it safer for both humans and pets. Vinegar's acidic nature also makes it an excellent deodorizer. It can neutralize odors caused by bacteria and mildew, leaving surfaces smelling fresh without the need for synthetic fragrances. Vinegar has mild antibacterial properties due to its acidic content. While it may not kill all types of bacteria, it can help inhibit their growth on surfaces. Vinegar can be used for a wide range of cleaning tasks throughout the home, including kitchen appliances, windows, mirrors, floors, and bathroom fixtures. It can also be used as a fabric softener in laundry. It is also biodegradable, meaning it breaks down naturally without leaving harmful residues in soil or water systems. Its production typically has a lower environmental impact compared to synthetic cleaning chemicals.
While vinegar is a powerful cleaner, it's important to note that its acidity can potentially damage certain surfaces like natural stone (such as marble or granite) and some types of grout. Always test in a small, inconspicuous area first and dilute appropriately for safe use.
