On Wednesday, Tidy Tiger was closed for the entire day.
No client homes. No rushing from one job to the next. We intentionally cleared the schedule so our entire crew could spend the day training together.
Naturally, we started with breakfast. Because nobody should be expected to learn on an empty stomach.
Then we got to work.
We covered techniques, products, efficiency, consistency, and all those little details that separate clean from Tidy Tiger clean. And instead of just talking about it, we turned the boss lady’s house into our training ground and got some real hands-on practice.
Closing for a day isn’t a small thing for a little business like ours. It meant giving up an entire day of appointments and revenue, but investing in our crew — and in the quality of service we provide our clients — was worth it.
We learned. We cleaned. We ate entirely too much breakfast. We worked together. And based on the photographic evidence, we apparently cannot be trusted to behave when a camera comes out.
But most importantly, we walked away a stronger team.
We’re incredibly proud of this crew and the standards they’re working hard to uphold every time they walk into one of your homes. Are we going to be perfect every single time? No. We’re human, and occasionally we’re going to miss something. But we’re committed to learning from it, improving, and continuing to get better at what we do.
That’s really what training is about — not expecting perfection, but making sure we never stop learning.
We take our work seriously. Ourselves? Not so much.
