NOW HIRING: MOWING SPECIALIST....
The Mowing Specialist is a team member who will work alongside another 1 to 2 team members under the supervision of the owner. The primary function of the Mowing Specialist is to assist the Team Leader in completion of the weekly mowing operations. The Mowing Technician is able to operate a variety of equipment and has basic horticultural knowledge.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Works together with the team to perform daily mowing operations ensuring lawns are kept in pristine condition.
-Performs weeding operations while on-site to include the removal of unsightly weeds and makes recommendations to the owner about rising issues needing attention and communicates client requests.
-Operates at a fast, but efficient pace with extreme attention to detail.
-Operates small and medium duty equipment including: zero-turn mower, push mower, trimmer, blower, edger, weed-eater, backpack sprayer, bed edger, etc.
-Operates automatic and stick-shift vehicles as well as commercial trucks and truck and trailer combinations.
-Documents services completion and tracks service time through our online app.
-Completes service to company standards and performs a quality control walk-through at the job's completion.
-Maintains a clean, safe and efficient work-site and ensures the equipment is properly maintained.
-Assists in the daily maintenance activities if the owner is absent.
-Maintains assigned equipment and notifies owner of needed repairs
-Assists with leaf removal and snow removal operations in the fall/winter months.
-Works as a team member in a respectful and professional manner.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The majority of the time (greater than 80%) will be spent in an outdoor environment, with limited ability to control noise, airborne contaminants and temperature. Must be able to lift regularly 80 pounds.
The employee is expected to work the assigned hours at EZ Lawn and Landscape from Monday through Friday and Saturdays as needed. The work hours required of this position may be long when extended schedules are necessary. The normal expected work week will be 40-50 hours, but the person in this position is expected to work the hours needed to successfully satisfy the responsibilities and duties of the position. This position has the option to be salary or hourly wage. If salary, the team member will receive full compensation during the winter months when work is scarce or not needed.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
The employee will work closely with members of the team, the owner and clients.
Schedule:
10-12 hour shift
Monday to Friday
7AM start time
30-minute lunch

REQUIREMENTS:
We are a drug-free workplace and the are no exceptions. We are a non-smoking company. Smoking is not permitted in our trucks or at our clients properties. All applicants may be subject to a background check and/or random drug screening.
Experience:
Mowing and property maintenance: 1 year (Required)
Landscape Installations: 1 year (Required)
License/Certifications:
Driver's License (Required)
VDACS registered technician license (Preferred, but can be obtained within the first year of employment)
First Aid/ CPR Certificate (Must have or obtain within the first year of employment)
Uniforms:
EZ Lawn and Landscape will provide all staff with uniform tops, hats, hoodies and jackets during the winter months. Team members are responsible for selecting and providing their own pants and shoes. Work pants must be of a color that coordinates well with our uniform tops (tan, brown, black, army green, etc). Pants are to be worn at the appropriate waistline with a belt if needed. Shoes are required to be close toe work style boots or shoe. All team members are expected to be well groomed in clean uniforms.
