The Arctic blast has returned. Quick reminder: areas of the house that don't get heat, like unconditioned spaces such as the front room of your basement where the water main comes through the foundation wall, a closet, and access panel areas where heat isn't reaching the waterlines. Try to add supplemental heat with a space heater near your well tank, water main, or well pump, or public water that comes through the foundation wall near your water meter or mechanical room. Keeping these spaces warm can prevent loss of water and avoid a plumber's visit.

It’s back again this weekend and worse!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE 🦃 🍁 Quick Reminder: Don't be a turkey, scrape that grease into the trash instead of pouring it down the drain. And for the love of plumbing, avoid shoving stringy or starchy food scraps like potato peels, celery, rice, or pasta down the garbage disposal, they're clog central. Oh, and one more thing, don't flush anything except toilet paper, or you'll be dealing with a crappy situation, no pun intended, so skip flushing the wet wipes, paper towels, and feminine hygiene products.

-1 this morning was the last time I encountered this problem, dating back to 2017. At that time, I had to deal with six frozen pipes. I trust that everyone is taking necessary precautions, such as letting faucets drip, keeping cabinet doors open, and adjusting the thermostat upward by a few degrees.
