This week we're celebrating an incredible milestone as Denyse marks 21 years with Century Chemical. Since joining the company in 2005, she has worn many hats, embraced new challenges, and grown alongside the company. Through hard work, dedication, and a genuine passion for people, Denyse has helped shape Century Chemical into the company it is today.

As we also celebrate our 100th anniversary, we're especially grateful for her commitment to our employees, customers, partners, and community. Congratulations, Denyse, and thank you for everything you've done over the past 21 years. Here's to the journey so far and all that's still to come!

Today, Pat Pontius and Jimmie Southern attended the 30th Annual INDOT Luncheon, hosted by the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce Transportation Council.

The event brought together business and transportation leaders to celebrate progress and discuss the future of infrastructure across the Michiana region. From updates on current projects to plans for continued investment, it's encouraging to see the collaboration helping keep our communities connected and moving forward.

Thank you to the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce, the Transportation Council, and the Indiana Department of Transportation for an informative program and for your continued commitment to strengthening our region.

One of our favorite moments from RV Women's Alliance Track Day last weekend was seeing our CEO, Denyse Pontius, take the track to perform the National Anthem. Thank you to the RV Women's Alliance, New Paris Speedway, and everyone who helped make this year's event such a success. Our team was excited to deliver the welcome bags for this year's Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce New Educator Welcome Event. Every bag represents a small token of appreciation for the educators who dedicate themselves to inspiring, teaching, and shaping the future of our community.

Our Century Chemical team joined the RV Women's Alliance at Track Day at New Paris Speedway to help pack more than 350 backpacks filled with school supplies and other essentials for local students as they prepare for the new school year. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, donated backpacks, and helped make this tradition another success. We're grateful to be part of a community that believes every child deserves to start the school year with confidence.

We're excited to recognize two team members whose hard work, dedication, and leadership have earned them well-deserved opportunities to grow.

Crystal has been promoted to Plant Lead, where she'll lead our production operations and support our team's continued success.

Brad has also been promoted to our Second Shift Lead, providing dependable leadership, fostering teamwork, and helping keep production running smoothly every day.

Minority Business Excellence Award Nominations Requested

Minority Business Excellence Awards honor outstanding minority business leaders who have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields. The awards recognize individuals and organizations across various sectors who have significantly contributed to the success of their businesses and the empowerment of their communities. Each award category celebrates unique achievements, ensuring that the diversity of talent and impact is acknowledged.

A list of categories and the nomination forms are available at www.elkhart.org/celebrating-minority-business-excellence-awards-nominations. Each category has its own nomination form, and all nominations must be received by midnight on Friday, August 7. A link to the list of previous winners is on the nomination cover page.

The nominees must conduct business or provide service in Elkhart County, be minority owned and operated (at least 51%), and have been in business for at least one year.

Award recipients will be determined by members of the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce Business Diversity Initiative.

Recognition of recipients will take place at the Celebrating Minority Business Excellence Dinner on September 10, in the Crystal Ballroom at the Lerner, starting at 5:30 P.M. Registration is now open at Elkhart.org/events.
