🧹 LET’S TALK ABOUT DUST. 🧹
Dusting isn't just about making your house look clean. That fluffy gray stuff sitting on your shelves, baseboards, ceiling fans, blinds, and furniture is a lovely little collection of pet dander, fur, pollen, skin cells, fibers, dirt, and whatever else has wandered into your house.
And if you have pets? 🐾
Congratulations. You have your own personal dander-and-fur distribution system. 😂
Regular dusting helps:
✨ Reduce pet dander, pollen, and other airborne irritants
✨ Improve indoor air quality by removing particles before they get kicked back into the air
✨ Keep dust from building up on vents, fans, furniture, and electronics
✨ Make your home feel—and smell—cleaner
✨ Prevent buildup from becoming a much bigger pain later
And then there's the kitchen.
Kitchen cabinet dust is a different beast. Airborne grease from cooking settles onto cabinets, especially around the stove. Then regular household dust sticks to that grease.
Now you don't have dust.
You have dust paste. 🤢
The longer it sits, the stickier and nastier it gets—and eventually a simple wipe-down turns into scrubbing and degreasing.
Regular dusting and wiping isn't pointless busywork. It's preventative maintenance for your home.
A little maintenance now = less scrubbing later.
And I don't know about you, but I'd rather wipe off some dust today than fight six months of fossilized bacon grease later. 😂
