Property managers have enough on their plates without worrying about overflowing gutters.

Routine gutter maintenance is one of the easiest ways to help protect apartment communities, HOA neighborhoods, and commercial properties from costly water damage, foundation issues, and resident complaints.

In Colorado, sudden thunderstorms, hail, high winds, and freeze-thaw cycles can put extra stress on your property's drainage system. A proactive maintenance plan can help reduce emergency repairs, improve resident safety, and protect your maintenance budget.

If you manage properties throughout the Denver metro area, we'd love the opportunity to become your trusted gutter maintenance partner.

🌞 Summer officially arrives this weekend, and if you've lived in Colorado for long, you know what that means...

One day it's 95Β° and sunny. The next day hail is covering the lawn and afternoon thunderstorms are flooding streets.

While most homeowners think about gutters during spring rain or winter snow, Colorado summers can be just as hard on your home's drainage system.

β˜€οΈ Heat can cause gutters and sealants to expand and contract.

🧊 Hail can dent gutters and create hidden damage.

β›ˆοΈ Monsoon rains can overwhelm clogged downspouts and underground drains.

In fact, some of the worst gutter overflows we see during summer storms aren't caused by clogged gutters at allβ€”they're caused by blocked underground drains that force water back through the entire system.

Our newest blog explains:
βœ” How Colorado summer weather affects gutters
βœ” Why hail damage often goes unnoticed
βœ” What monsoon season means for your home
βœ” How El NiΓ±o could influence summer storms
βœ” What homeowners should inspect before peak storm season arrives

Colorado weather may be unpredictable, but your gutters don't have to be.

🐾 Tuck & Ollie: Where's Mom? 🐾

It's the busy season at Hometown Gutter, and Ollie noticed Mom hasn't been around to film as many videos lately.

Tuck tried to explain that Mom is busy helping customers so the family can protect homes from water damage.

Ollie worried his fans were missing him.

Tuck reminded him that dog food doesn't grow in the backyard.

Then Ollie delivered the plot twist...

"I'm not stupid. I know the delivery service brings The Farmer's Dog to the front door." πŸ˜‚

Thank you to all of our customers for supporting our family business. When you trust Hometown Gutter with your home, you're helping our family take care of yours... and apparently keeping Ollie stocked with his favorite meals. ❀️🏠🐢

βš‘β›ˆοΈ Colorado thunderstorm season is here!

One minute it's sunny and 75Β°, the next minute you're watching hail bounce across the sidewalk and wondering why water is pouring over your gutters.

Many homeowners assume overflowing gutters mean the gutters are clogged. Sometimes the real problem is a blocked downspout or underground drain that can't handle heavy rainfall.

In our latest blog, we cover:
βœ… Why Colorado thunderstorms are hard on gutter systems
βœ… Common causes of gutter overflow
βœ… Hidden underground drain clogs
βœ… Signs your home may not be ready for the next storm
βœ… How to protect your foundation from water damage

Don't wait until water is pouring over the edge of your gutters during the next downpour.

Colorado homeowners know the drill. 🚨 Is Your Gutter Actually Leaking… or Is Water Backing Up Somewhere Else?

Most homeowners assume every drip means they need new gutters β€” but that’s not always the case.

In our newest blog, we break down the most common gutter leaks we see across the Denver metro area, including:
βœ”οΈ Leaking corner seams
βœ”οΈ End cap failures
βœ”οΈ Sagging gutters overflowing
βœ”οΈ Clogged downspouts backing water up
βœ”οΈ Underground drain issues
βœ”οΈ Rust and corrosion holes
βœ”οΈ Colorado ice dam damage

We also explain what these problems usually look like during storms and when repairs may still be possible before replacement is needed.

Colorado weather is tough on gutters β€” especially with freeze-thaw cycles, hailstorms, spring downpours, and mature trees dropping debris into systems.

A small leak today can eventually lead to:
πŸ’§ Fascia rot
πŸ’§ Foundation moisture
πŸ’§ Landscape erosion
πŸ’§ Basement leaks
πŸ’§ Dangerous icy walkways

Spring gutter cleaning is important… but what about the underground drains attached to your downspouts? πŸ‘€

This Denver-area homeowner had overflowing gutters even after cleaning because the underground drain line was completely blocked by roots underground.

Colorado spring storms and heavy snowmelt can push a LOT of water through your gutter system fast. If the drains below are clogged, the water has nowhere to go β€” leading to overflowing gutters, erosion, foundation concerns, and soggy landscaping.

At Hometown Gutter
, we help homeowners with:
βœ” Spring gutter cleaning
βœ” Downspout flushing
βœ” Underground drain cleaning
βœ” Drain inspections
βœ” Full drainage system evaluations

Serving the Denver metro area with honest recommendations and free estimates.
