How’s everyone doing with their decluttering goals?

I’ll be honest—it’s been a wild couple of weeks over here. Between traveling, getting sick (twice!), work, and now taking care of my sick little one, I haven’t made much progress. Right now, I’m just trying to stay on top of the basics!

But hey, no worries if you’re in the same boat. A few people have mentioned they’re making February their month to tackle the clutter, and I think I’ll join them! If you have a moment today, try tackling just one item from your declutter list—it doesn’t have to be a big project.

Tonight, after my daughter goes to bed, I’m planning to tackle her toys. Somehow, we keep accumulating more, even though she only plays with two things at a time! I’m thinking about trying out a toy rotation system—I’ll share how it goes once I get it figured out.

Day 10 & 11 of the Declutter Challenge ✅
I’ll spare you the details of my fridge clean-out because…yikes 😅 Let’s just say I hadn’t touched it since Christmas. Oops.

I’ll be out of town the next couple of days, and since my spice cabinet got a refresh not too long ago, I won’t be tackling that one. However, my pots and pans? That’s a whole different story. Right now, it’s chaos in there! At our last house, we had amazing pull-out cabinet drawers that kept everything organized, but here, everything just gets thrown in, and it’s not working. Time to figure out a better system!

Let’s be real—none of us are perfect. I’ve had a few people tell me they’re doing this challenge, and I have to give major props because decluttering every single day isn’t easy, especially when life feels like it’s pulling you in a thousand directions. But here’s the thing: something is always better than nothing. Even if you pick and choose what works for you, it’s still progress, and that’s what matters.

🌟 Life Happens, and That’s Okay! 🌟

My day didn’t go exactly as planned—I was going to tackle my food storage containers tonight, but instead, I spent time with family. And you know what? That’s okay!

We all have days where life gets the better of us. But just because I didn’t get to it today doesn’t mean I can’t tomorrow. I’ll double up and tackle a kitchen drawer and those containers tomorrow.

✨ Reminder: Life happens, family comes first, and your home can always wait a day. A clean home = a happy life, but balance is key. Don’t stress about the “oops” moments—progress, not perfection!

Day 6 of the decluttering challenge: tackling the junk drawer! 🗄️✨

It wasn’t too bad to begin with, but with my trusty $2 Target containers (seriously, go grab these!), I emptied, sorted, and decluttered in just 7 minutes! 🚀

Here’s the breakdown:
✔️ Tossed what wasn’t needed
✔️ Took items out of bulky packaging
✔️ Grouped by like items & most used essentials

From batteries to bottle openers to my tiny sewing kit, everything now has a home—and I’m loving how much better it fits! 🎶 Doing my best never felt this good! 💪

❄️ A few snow days mean plenty of downtime—and extra cleaning! While I haven’t shared before-and-after photos the last few days, I’ve been making progress behind the scenes. For example, I still need to tackle a dresser drawer, but my socks were already pretty organized, and I recently downsized our extra blankets when we moved. Instead, I focused on washing all the blankets we’ve been using nonstop during the holidays.

How about you? Are there any items on the challenge list that don’t apply to you because they’re already decluttered and organized? If so, way to go!
